Privacy Policy
- This page is about the website you're reading right now. The app has its own policy: Linger app privacy.
- Browsing this site sends us nothing. No cookies, no trackers, no analytics, unless you say yes to the little banner.
- If you join the iOS waitlist, we keep what you typed for exactly one purpose: telling you when Linger lands on iPhone.
- We never sell anything about you, and there are no ads here.
1. The iOS waitlist
If you leave an email address or phone number in the "Linger is coming to iOS" form, that's all we get, whatever you typed, plus the moment you sent it. It's stored with Google Cloud Firestore on servers in the EU.
- We use it for one thing: a message when Linger is available on iPhone.
- No newsletters, no marketing lists, no sharing, no selling.
- Want it gone? Email hi@linger.care and we'll delete it.
2. Analytics and session replay (only if you say yes)
We'd like to understand how this site is used, where visitors come from, how far they read, and what they click, so we can make it better. That's what the banner asks. If you tap "Accept", we switch on three tools:
- Google Analytics (GA4), run by Google, counts visits, referral sources and which pages get read, with your IP anonymised.
- PostHog (hosted in the EU) records product analytics, page views, scroll depth, which sections you reach, and which buttons you tap.
- Microsoft Clarity, run by Microsoft, records an anonymised replay of the session (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks) and aggregate heatmaps, so we can see where the page confuses people.
Microsoft Clarity is the only one that records a session replay; PostHog's replay is switched off here. Anything you type is masked, the replay never captures the email or phone number you'd enter in the iOS-waitlist field, only that an interaction happened. We don't record keystrokes of your input, and we never sell any of this or use it for ads.
If you tap "Decline", or just ignore the banner, none of these load at all, not a single script or request. Changed your mind later? Clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
3. What this site doesn't do
- No ads, no ad trackers, no social-media pixels.
- No fingerprinting, no selling or sharing your data.
- Nothing loads from third parties, and no session is ever recorded, before you consent.
- Replays mask what you type, so your waitlist contact details never appear in one.
This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages and its CDN). To serve pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes connection data such as your IP address and request headers. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
4. The Linger app
The Android app is a separate thing with a stricter promise: by default it collects nothing and sends nothing off your device. The full details, including every permission it uses and its opt-in analytics, live in the app privacy policy and in the Data Safety section of its Google Play listing.
5. Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
